What it does

When installed, the agent responds to requests for a blog post, article, essay, case study or newsletter by writing an original piece of at least 600 words in 4-6 sections and wrapping it in a magazine-style web page. The page includes a masthead, headline, byline, placeholder hero image, pull quotes, a list, an author section and related-post cards, all in one HTML file. It follows the project's design system for fonts and colours, and it avoids external images by using coloured placeholder blocks.

Great for

  • Marketers or founders who need a polished article page quickly
  • Writers who want a visual layout for an essay or case study draft
  • Designers prototyping an editorial page with a design system already defined

Skip it if

  • Teams that need publish-ready copy checked for facts; the skill writes its own topic content and does not verify claims
  • Projects requiring real photos or a live CMS, since it only produces placeholder image blocks and static HTML

Try asking

  • “Write a 700-word blog post about remote team onboarding in our brand style”
  • “Create an essay-style article page on sustainable packaging with a pull quote”
  • “Make a case study page for our customer migration project”
Step-by-step guide: how to use Blog Post WriterInstall, first run, examples, tips and FAQs

Install in 3 steps

  1. 1

    Download the skill

    The ZIP contains the 2 original files, the Apache-2.0 licence and an attribution note.

    blog-post.zip
  2. 2

    Add it to your agent

    Claude Code (all projects)

    mkdir -p ~/.claude/skills && unzip blog-post.zip -d ~/.claude/skills/

    Claude Code / Agent SDK (this project only)

    mkdir -p .claude/skills && unzip blog-post.zip -d .claude/skills/

    Claude apps (web/desktop): Settings → Capabilities → Skills → Upload skill, and choose the ZIP.

  3. 3

    Ask for the task

    No special command needed — the agent reads the skill's description and loads it when your request matches. Try one of the prompts above.

Get better results

  • Provide a DESIGN.md first so the typography and colours match your brand
  • Supply your own facts, quotes and author details in the brief, since the generated text is not fact-checked
  • Review the right-to-left layout if you publish in Arabic or Hebrew
