What it does
This skill guides an AI agent through designing Azure cloud infrastructure from a plain-language request, or analysing resources already in an Azure subscription. It produces an interactive HTML architecture diagram (using bundled Python scripts), lets you refine it through conversation, generates Bicep infrastructure-as-code templates, reviews them, and then runs validate, what-if and deploy steps. Each stage is described in separate reference files the agent follows.
Great for
- Engineers who need an Azure reference architecture for a RAG, AI or data platform and want a diagram plus starter Bicep
- Teams that want to inventory and visualise an existing resource group before changing it
- People who want deployment to go through validate and what-if checks before anything is created
Skip it if
- Production deployments without a human reviewing the Bicep and what-if output, because the agent executes Azure CLI commands that create or change billable resources
- Anyone without an Azure subscription and the Azure CLI, since scanning and deploying depend on them
Try asking
- “Set up a RAG architecture on Azure with AI Search and Azure OpenAI”
- “Analyze my current Azure infrastructure in resource group rg-prod and draw a diagram”
- “Reduce costs on my existing Foundry setup”
- “Generate Bicep for a secure data platform with ADLS Gen2 and private endpoints”

Ask for the task
No special command needed — the agent reads the skill's description and loads it when your request matches. Try one of the prompts above.
Get better results
- Review the generated Bicep and the what-if output before approving any deploy step, since the agent can create billable resources.
- Give a specific scope such as a resource group name or service list to keep scans and designs focused.
- Confirm the subscription and region when asked so deployments land where you intend.
