What it does
This skill teaches an AI agent a consistent way to stop and ask you a question when a decision matters. Instead of guessing and charging ahead, the agent lays out 2-4 labeled options (with a Skip or Cancel choice), then halts until you reply. It also explains how to read typed or clicked answers and branch accordingly. Other skills in the GBrain project reuse this pattern at decision points like filing notes or deleting files.
Great for
- Developers building GBrain-style skills who need a standard way to request user input
- People who want their agent to confirm before destructive or ambiguous actions
- Teams running agents on chat platforms such as Telegram or Discord with interactive buttons
Skip it if
- Fully autonomous workflows where pausing for input would defeat the purpose (the skill itself says time-critical tasks should skip the gate)
- Simple, clear instructions, where the skill advises the agent to just act rather than ask
Try asking
- “Present options before reorganizing my notes into different folders”
- “Ask me before proceeding with deleting these stale files”
- “Give me a choice gate on how to merge these two contact pages”

Ask for the task
No special command needed — the agent reads the skill's description and loads it when your request matches. Try one of the prompts above.
Get better results
- Use it when the wrong default would waste significant work; the skill recommends picking a sensible default for low-stakes choices.
- Answer with a number, letter, or the option name; the agent is designed to map casual replies to the closest option.
- It is a behavioral pattern only: it contains no scripts, so its real effect depends on the agent platform and the skills that call it.
