What it does

This skill teaches an AI assistant how to work with dedicated bulk-review software used in legal due diligence. When a lawyer has a large batch of similar contracts, the assistant checks the firm's config file for the approved tool, prepares a load request for the tool, and then samples and checks the tool's output against a trust level the team has set. It then applies legal judgment, such as whether a change-of-control clause is actually triggered by the deal structure, and drafts a summary in the house format. It does not run the tool itself.

Great for

  • In-house or law firm legal teams doing due diligence on hundreds of similar contracts who already license Luminance or Kira
  • Legal operations staff who need a standard QA process for AI-assisted clause extraction

Skip it if

  • Small batches (under about 50 documents), where reading them directly is faster, as the skill itself advises
  • Bespoke, heavily negotiated, or mixed document sets, and side letters or amendments, where tools miss context; relying on tool output here risks missed issues
  • Anyone expecting the skill to operate Luminance or Kira; a human or the tool's own interface must run extraction

Try asking

  • “Send to Luminance: prepare a load request for the 500 customer contracts in the VDR and extract change-of-control clauses”
  • “Bulk review the supplier agreements for assignment and exclusivity clauses and QA a 10% sample”
  • “Run AI extraction on the termination and auto-renewal clauses for the acquisition and summarise the findings for the diligence issues list”

Install in 3 steps

  1. 1

    Download the skill

    The ZIP contains the 1 original files, the Apache-2.0 licence and an attribution note.

    ai-tool-handoff.zip
  2. 2

    Add it to your agent

    Claude Code (all projects)

    mkdir -p ~/.claude/skills && unzip ai-tool-handoff.zip -d ~/.claude/skills/

    Claude Code / Agent SDK (this project only)

    mkdir -p .claude/skills && unzip ai-tool-handoff.zip -d .claude/skills/

    Claude apps (web/desktop): Settings → Capabilities → Skills → Upload skill, and choose the ZIP.

  3. 3

    Ask for the task

    No special command needed — the agent reads the skill's description and loads it when your request matches. Try one of the prompts above.

Get better results

  • Set the trust level in the CLAUDE.md file before use, since the skill does not decide it; spot-check rates should match the team's experience with the tool
  • Try native tabular-review first for smaller document sets, as the skill recommends, to keep work product local and avoid per-document tool costs
  • Store outputs in the matter's privileged folder, because the QA summaries inherit privilege and confidentiality from source documents
