About

Build a well-structured AI prompt from role, context, task, constraints, format and examples — with tailored versions for ChatGPT, Claude (XML) and Gemini.

How to use it

  1. 1Fill in the task (required) and any of role, context, audience, tone, constraints, output format and examples — or start from an example.
  2. 2Pick the target: Claude (XML tags), ChatGPT (Markdown sections), Gemini (Persona · Task · Context · Format) or any model.
  3. 3Toggle extras like clarifying questions or a self-check.
  4. 4Copy the assembled prompt or open it directly in ChatGPT or Claude.
You give
The parts of your request: task, context, audience, constraints, format, examples.
You get
A ready-to-paste prompt formatted for the model you chose, with a heuristic quality score.
Good to know
Formats prompts; it doesn't run them. Model-specific layouts follow each vendor's published prompting guidance, but no layout guarantees a particular answer. Open-in links only for prompts under 2,000 characters.

FAQ

Why does the Claude version use XML tags?

Anthropic's documentation recommends XML tags to separate instructions, context and examples, and suggests putting long material before the question. Claude is trained to pay attention to that structure, which reduces mix-ups between your data and your instructions.

Do I need a role in every prompt?

No. A role helps most when expertise or perspective matters (a tax adviser, a sceptical investor). The task, context and output format matter more — the builder only requires the task.

Which parts improve results the most?

In practice: a specific task, enough context, an explicit output format and one example. Constraints and a self-check reduce made-up details.
