What it does
Once installed, the agent knows how to talk to X (formerly Twitter) through its official API on your behalf. It can post single tweets or threads, upload images, read a user's timeline, search recent posts, and check engagement numbers, using code it writes for you. It also explains how to set up credentials safely and how to respect X's rate limits. The skill includes a workflow that drafts posts for your approval before anything goes live.
Great for
- Developers building a bot or script that posts or monitors X
- Creators or marketers who want an agent to draft, review and schedule X posts in their own voice
- Anyone who wants to track engagement metrics on their own posts programmatically
Skip it if
- People who do not have an X developer account and API credentials, since nothing works without them
- Automating high-volume or spam-like posting, which risks account suspension and breaks X's terms; the skill does not address policy compliance
- Accounts where a leaked token could cause harm, unless you use read-only tokens and keep secrets out of code
Try asking
- “Draft a 5-tweet thread about my new open-source release and wait for my approval before posting”
- “Search recent X posts about 'claude code' and summarize the top discussions”
- “Show me the engagement metrics for my last 20 tweets”
- “Upload this image and post it to X with the caption 'Check this out'”

Ask for the task
No special command needed — the agent reads the skill's description and loads it when your request matches. Try one of the prompts above.
Get better results
- Use a read-only or app-only token when you only need to search or read, and keep write tokens out of shared environments
- Ask the agent to show drafts first; the skill is designed to return drafts for approval before posting
- Check X's current developer docs for rate limits and pricing, since the skill itself warns these change over time
