What it does
When installed, the agent runs a guided, one-question-at-a-time interview to help a brand define its purpose, positioning, audience, personality, voice, story, and founder tensions across eight modules. It saves answers as files on disk and a progress checkpoint so the work can resume in later sessions, and ends with a master brandbook (90_SYNTHESIS.md) that can be shared with designers or writers.
Great for
- Founders or small teams creating or repositioning a brand who want a written identity reference
- Agencies or consultants running repeatable brand discovery workshops with clients
- Teams with several founders who need individual interviews before a reconciliation pass
Skip it if
- Quick brand taglines or logo ideas, since the skill is designed for slow, multi-session interviews (it is overkill for one-off requests)
- Brands that already have complete brand guidelines and only need execution, because the interview process adds time without new output
- Situations involving sensitive personal or client data saved to disk, since answers are written as plain files in the project folder
Try asking
- “Start a brand discovery interview for my new coffee roastery and save the files in ./brand-identity”
- “Resume the brand discovery session from where we stopped last week”
- “Run founder interviews for my two co-founders and reconcile their answers into a brandbook”
- “Summarise our brand voice module and draft three candidate formulations”

Ask for the task
No special command needed — the agent reads the skill's description and loads it when your request matches. Try one of the prompts above.
Get better results
- Give the agent a clear brand name and output folder at the start so state.json and module files are saved in the right place
- Answer with concrete examples or stories; the skill pushes back on vague answers and the output is far better for it
- Use the multi-founder mode only after each founder has completed their own interview, as the skill instructs
