What it does

When a workspace has a teacher's recorded lesson or handouts attached, this skill tells the agent to study how that teacher speaks and presents (openings, phrasing, examples, pacing, and on-screen layout) using the transcript and video frames, then build a new course on the user's chosen topic in that style. It explicitly keeps the style separate from facts: the teacher's content is not treated as authoritative for the new course, and the agent is told not to invent biography or endorsements.

Great for

  • Educators who want course pages that match a known teaching approach from their own recorded material
  • Developers building a course-generation product on the OpenMAIC platform who need a style-extraction workflow
  • Students or self-learners who have a licensed lesson recording and want a similar delivery style for a different topic

Skip it if

  • Imitating a real person's identity or public persona without their consent; the skill's own rules prohibit fabricating biography or endorsements, but users could still misuse the output for impersonation
  • Recordings with no readable transcript or keyframes; the skill says not to infer visual style in that case and will produce incomplete results
  • Factual accuracy on the new topic; style evidence does not verify subject content, so the user must check the course facts

Try asking

  • “Use the attached lecture recording to make a 5-page course on photosynthesis in the same teaching style.”
  • “Build a lesson on fractions that opens with a review question and uses concrete examples, copying the teacher's pacing.”
  • “Create a course on the French Revolution matching the presentation style of the attached handout and recording.”
Step-by-step guide: how to use Teacher Style LessonsInstall, first run, examples, tips and FAQs

Install in 3 steps

  1. 1

    Download the skill

    The ZIP contains the 2 original files, the MIT licence and an attribution note.

    teacher-style-clone.zip
  2. 2

    Add it to your agent

    Claude Code (all projects)

    mkdir -p ~/.claude/skills && unzip teacher-style-clone.zip -d ~/.claude/skills/

    Claude Code / Agent SDK (this project only)

    mkdir -p .claude/skills && unzip teacher-style-clone.zip -d .claude/skills/

    Claude apps (web/desktop): Settings → Capabilities → Skills → Upload skill, and choose the ZIP.

  3. 3

    Ask for the task

    No special command needed — the agent reads the skill's description and loads it when your request matches. Try one of the prompts above.

Get better results

  • Attach a complete recording rather than a short clip so the style profile covers the full lesson.
  • Ask for a specific topic and check the generated facts yourself, since the source lecture's content is not used as fact.
  • Make sure extraction has finished in the workspace before asking for a lesson; the skill will wait or report failures.
