What it does
Once installed, the agent runs a disciplined brainstorming process for early-stage research: it asks for a focal question, has ideas generated independently before group discussion, labels every claim as an idea, assumption, prediction, located evidence or decision, and runs adversarial review of shortlisted ideas. It can also score ideas against explicit weighted criteria and produce empty session registers or check them for structural errors, while stating that outputs are proposals rather than findings. Bundled helper scripts are simple offline tools for scaffolding, scoring and validating these records.
Great for
- Researchers or students who want a structured way to generate and compare candidate research directions
- Lab or group facilitators running a brainstorming session with a documented decision trail
- Anyone who wants a transparent, traceable scoring matrix for prioritizing project ideas
Skip it if
- Validating a hypothesis or producing study results: the skill states brainstorming cannot validate a hypothesis and hands off to other skills or experts
- Ethics, biosafety, regulatory or clinical decisions: the skill explicitly says a brainstorm is never approval and routes these to qualified reviewers
- Treating scores as a final answer: the weighted matrix is a decision aid and the skill warns against automatic winner selection
Try asking
- “Help me run a structured brainstorm on new hypotheses about soil microbiome effects on crop yield, starting with independent idea generation.”
- “Set up a session register for five participants exploring treatments for antibiotic resistance and track each idea's origin.”
- “Score my six candidate research directions against feasibility, novelty and ethics criteria with a sensitivity analysis.”
- “Run an adversarial review on my shortlisted project ideas and list what observation would prove each one wrong.”

Ask for the task
No special command needed — the agent reads the skill's description and loads it when your request matches. Try one of the prompts above.
Get better results
- Write your focal question and constraints before asking for ideas so the scope step has real content to work with.
- Ask for independent idea generation first, and only then bring in literature or AI-suggested ideas, to reduce anchoring.
- Define your evaluation criteria and weights before scoring, and keep the raw ratings and disagreements visible in the output.
