What it does
When you ask the agent to fix or resolve FIXME comments, it first runs a bundled shell script that searches the project for FIXME markers and shows each one with nearby lines of code. It then reads the full comment blocks, groups related FIXMEs that span several files into one task, and makes the complete code changes those comments ask for. It removes a FIXME only after the work is done, then re-runs the search to confirm none remain.
Great for
- Maintainers of Rust or other codebases who have accumulated many FIXME notes and want them actioned
- Developers doing a multi-file refactor that was described in scattered FIXME comments
Skip it if
- Projects where FIXMEs are informal reminders that should not be acted on automatically, since the skill has no skip path and will attempt every one
- Codebases that do not run cargo or where the verification command does not apply, because the final check assumes a Rust project with cargo insta
Try asking
- “Resolve all FIXME comments in this repository”
- “Fix the FIXMEs in the src/services directory”
- “Address the FIXME notes about the session type refactor”

Ask for the task
No special command needed — the agent reads the skill's description and loads it when your request matches. Try one of the prompts above.
Get better results
- Point the request at a specific path to limit how much code the agent changes.
- Review the diff afterwards, since large grouped refactors touch many files at once.
- Make sure the working tree is committed or clean first so changes are easy to inspect or revert.
