What it does
This skill helps researchers answer peer reviewer comments after a paper is submitted. It reads the reviews, splits them into individual concerns, and builds a plan for responding to each one. It then drafts a plain-text rebuttal that must fit the conference's character limit, and checks that every claim traces back to the paper, the reviews, or facts the user confirmed, with no promises the user hasn't approved. It can also handle follow-up rounds with reviewers.
Great for
- Authors preparing an ICML-style or OpenReview-style rebuttal under strict length limits
- Researchers who want a checklist that every reviewer concern is addressed
- Teams who want an independent AI reviewer to critique draft responses before submitting
Skip it if
- Generating new experiments or theorems automatically: the skill states it does not run new experiments, so results must come from the user (wrong tool if you expect it to produce evidence)
- Submitting directly to OpenReview, CMT or HotCRP or editing a revised PDF: it only produces text, so the user must paste and upload (not suitable for fully hands-off submission)
Try asking
- “/rebuttal "paper/" with the reviews pasted in, for an ICML single-document rebuttal under 5000 characters”
- “Reply to reviewers for my OpenReview submission, one thread per reviewer”
- “Build an issue board and strategy plan from these reviews before drafting anything (quick mode)”
- “Draft a follow-up response to Reviewer 2 after their latest comment”

Ask for the task
No special command needed — the agent reads the skill's description and loads it when your request matches. Try one of the prompts above.
Get better results
- Provide venue rules and character limit up front, since the skill stops and asks if they are missing
- Supply any new results or approved commitments explicitly so they can be used as user-confirmed evidence
- Use quick mode first to see what reviewers want before committing to a full draft
