What it does
Once installed, the agent can open PowerPoint (.pptx) files and pull out slide text and speaker notes, build new decks from an outline, change text, tables, charts and images in existing slides, and optionally export slides to PDF or images. It works by writing and running Python code with the python-pptx library, which is already expected to be installed in the agent's environment. It also includes guidance on design choices such as layouts, font sizes and checking rendered slides for overlap.
Great for
- Someone who needs to turn an outline or notes into a first-draft slide deck quickly
- Anyone who wants to extract text or speaker notes from an existing presentation
- Teams that fill a branded template with data, such as replacing placeholders across many slides
Skip it if
- Users who need pixel-perfect design without reviewing output, since the skill itself says rendered slides may still have overflow or contrast bugs
- Environments where the agent cannot run code, because the skill depends on executing Python
- Exporting to PDF or images without LibreOffice installed, since that conversion step needs LibreOffice (soffice)
Try asking
- “Turn this outline into a 10-slide deck with a title slide, agenda and closing slide”
- “Extract all the text and speaker notes from quarterly_review.pptx into a summary”
- “Replace the {{NAME}} placeholders in this template with the names in names.csv”
- “Swap the logo image on every slide of the deck with new_logo.png and keep its size”

Ask for the task
No special command needed — the agent reads the skill's description and loads it when your request matches. Try one of the prompts above.
Get better results
- Provide a .pptx template if you want the deck to inherit your brand colours and fonts; otherwise the default blank template is used
- Ask for a specific visual style or accent colour, or the agent may pick a generic palette
- Review the generated deck yourself before sharing, especially text overflow and image placement
