What it does
This is an instruction set for DeepTutor's built-in chat agent when a user is creating a new Skill inside DeepTutor. A Skill is a playbook the agent loads only when relevant, so it can perform a task consistently. The guide tells the agent to write a concise trigger description, a step-by-step body, and to move long reference material into separate files. It also tells the agent to propose a draft for the user to review rather than saving it directly.
Great for
- Developers building custom skills for DeepTutor who want the agent to draft them
- Teams standardising how skills are written, including trigger descriptions and file layout
- Users who want to distinguish a Skill from a Persona (voice or tone preset)
Skip it if
- Anyone wanting a ready-made capability; this only helps author new skills, it does not perform tutoring or other tasks itself
- Users wanting a voice or tone preset, since the guide itself directs those requests to Persona instead
Try asking
- “Create a skill that walks the agent through checking homework solutions step by step”
- “Draft a skill for writing lab reports in a specific structure, with a reference file for citation formats”
- “Turn my study-group summary process into a reusable skill”

Add it to your agent
Claude Code (all projects)
mkdir -p ~/.claude/skills && unzip en.zip -d ~/.claude/skills/Claude Code / Agent SDK (this project only)
mkdir -p .claude/skills && unzip en.zip -d .claude/skills/Claude apps (web/desktop): Settings → Capabilities → Skills → Upload skill, and choose the ZIP.

Ask for the task
No special command needed — the agent reads the skill's description and loads it when your request matches. Try one of the prompts above.
Get better results
- Describe the task concretely and say when it should apply, because the description is what triggers the skill later.
- Review the draft card before approving, since nothing is saved until you do.
- Ask for a reference file for long schemas or lookup tables to keep the main body short.
