What it does

When installed, the agent can turn a Markdown or Org outline, or talk notes you have authorised it to tighten, into a single self-contained HTML presentation. It chooses layouts by the role each point plays (headline statement, comparison, chart, evidence, chapter break), keeps the speaker's full script in hidden notes you open with the N key, and embeds fonts so the file works offline with no animations. It can run in faithful mode (keeps your original wording) or editorial mode (rewrites on-slide text within the permissions you give).

Great for

  • Presenters who already have an outline and want a clean, readable deck quickly
  • Speakers who want key claims on screen and the full script in speaker notes
  • People who need an offline HTML file they can share or present from any browser

Skip it if

  • Editing corporate PowerPoint or Google Slides files, which this skill does not produce (it explicitly excludes enterprise PPT generation)
  • Rewriting someone else's content for slides without their permission; the skill says it must not do this unless authorised
  • Workflows needing animated or interactive slides, since the output is deliberately static with no motion

Try asking

  • “Turn this Markdown outline into a faithful slide deck, keeping my exact wording”
  • “Make a presentation from my talk notes with the key claims on screen and the full script in notes”
  • “Redraw this ASCII diagram as a Unicode diagram in the deck”
  • “Build a dark-themed deck from this outline and save it to Downloads”
Step-by-step guide: how to use Presentation Designer (ljg-present)Install, first run, examples, tips and FAQs

Install in 3 steps

  1. 1

    Download the skill

    The ZIP contains the 15 original files, the MIT licence and an attribution note.

    ljg-present.zip
  2. 2

    Add it to your agent

    Claude Code (all projects)

    mkdir -p ~/.claude/skills && unzip ljg-present.zip -d ~/.claude/skills/

    Claude Code / Agent SDK (this project only)

    mkdir -p .claude/skills && unzip ljg-present.zip -d .claude/skills/

    Claude apps (web/desktop): Settings → Capabilities → Skills → Upload skill, and choose the ZIP.

  3. 3

    Ask for the task

    No special command needed — the agent reads the skill's description and loads it when your request matches. Try one of the prompts above.

Get better results

  • State explicitly whether the content should be kept verbatim (faithful) or may be reworded (editorial), since rewriting needs your authorisation
  • Pick a theme by name (for example hacker-dark, black, red, yellow) if you do not want the default dark look
  • Review the generated HTML and speaker notes before presenting, especially after any editorial rewrite
