What it does

When a Feishu or Lark task cannot be done with existing skills or lark-cli commands, this skill tells the agent to search the official Feishu/Lark API documentation step by step, find the exact endpoint (method, path, parameters, permissions), and then call it directly through the lark-cli 'api' command. It is a fallback for less common workspace actions, such as adding members to a group chat or setting a group announcement. The agent is instructed not to guess endpoints and to confirm the user's intent before any write or delete call.

Great for

  • Developers automating Feishu or Lark workspaces who need an endpoint the CLI does not wrap
  • Admins performing occasional group chat or workspace operations that lack a dedicated command
  • Teams that want documented, traceable API calls rather than guessed ones

Skip it if

  • Simple tasks already covered by existing lark-* skills or lark-cli commands, since the skill says to use those first
  • Users without a Feishu or Lark account and an authorised lark-cli setup, because calls will fail or act on the wrong tenant
  • Bulk or destructive operations such as removing members or deleting groups, where a mistaken call can affect many people and is hard to reverse

Try asking

  • “Add these two users to my Feishu group chat oc_xxx using their open IDs”
  • “Find the Feishu OpenAPI endpoint for updating a group announcement and call it”
  • “Look up which API lets me change a chat's member list, then show me the parameters before running anything”
Step-by-step guide: how to use Lark Native OpenAPI ExplorerInstall, first run, examples, tips and FAQs

Install in 3 steps

  1. 1

    Download the skill

    The ZIP contains the 1 original files, the MIT licence and an attribution note.

    lark-openapi-explorer.zip
  2. 2

    Add it to your agent

    Claude Code (all projects)

    mkdir -p ~/.claude/skills && unzip lark-openapi-explorer.zip -d ~/.claude/skills/

    Claude Code / Agent SDK (this project only)

    mkdir -p .claude/skills && unzip lark-openapi-explorer.zip -d .claude/skills/

    Claude apps (web/desktop): Settings → Capabilities → Skills → Upload skill, and choose the ZIP.

  3. 3

    Ask for the task

    No special command needed — the agent reads the skill's description and loads it when your request matches. Try one of the prompts above.

Get better results

  • Ask for a dry run or a preview first; the skill recommends --dry-run where supported, and you should confirm before any POST, PUT, or DELETE call.
  • Give the agent the chat or resource IDs and the target user IDs up front so it does not have to guess them.
  • Check the lark-shared skill's authentication and identity guidance before use, since the agent acts with your Lark credentials and permissions.
