What it does

This skill teaches an AI agent how to work with Feishu/Lark Base (多维表格), a spreadsheet-like database with tables, fields, records, views, forms, dashboards and workflows. Once installed, the agent knows the correct order of steps for locating a Base from a link or title, reading and filtering records, creating or updating fields (including formulas and lookups), and managing blocks, and it routes these tasks through the lark-cli command-line tool. The bundled reference files supply command syntax, filter formats and field JSON rules that the agent reads when needed.

Great for

  • Teams that keep operational data in Feishu/Lark Base and want an agent to query or update it
  • Developers building automation or reports on top of Lark Base tables
  • Data users who want to filter, export and analyse Base records with jq or Python

Skip it if

  • Users without a Feishu/Lark account or without access to the target Base, since every operation needs the user's or a bot's authorisation
  • Situations where changes must be reviewed before they hit live data, because the skill performs writes, deletes and copies directly through the CLI and many updates apply asynchronously

Try asking

  • “Find my Base called 'Q3 Sales' and list the records where Status is Doing”
  • “Add a formula field that calculates margin from price and cost in the Tasks table”
  • “Create a new Base with a Customers table and three starter fields”
  • “Export up to 500 records with only Name and Score columns to a local NDJSON file”

Install in 3 steps

  1. 1

    Download the skill

    The ZIP contains the 15 original files, the MIT licence and an attribution note.

    lark-base.zip
  2. 2

    Add it to your agent

    Claude Code (all projects)

    mkdir -p ~/.claude/skills && unzip lark-base.zip -d ~/.claude/skills/

    Claude Code / Agent SDK (this project only)

    mkdir -p .claude/skills && unzip lark-base.zip -d .claude/skills/

    Claude apps (web/desktop): Settings → Capabilities → Skills → Upload skill, and choose the ZIP.

  3. 3

    Ask for the task

    No special command needed — the agent reads the skill's description and loads it when your request matches. Try one of the prompts above.

Get better results

  • Give the agent a Base URL or exact Base name so it can resolve the correct base_token and table_id before writing.
  • For writes, ask the agent to confirm the target table and fields first, and check results with a read-back since updates can be asynchronous.
  • Keep record exports small with --limit and --field-id so the agent works on a focused slice of data.
