What it does

This skill teaches an AI agent how to work with Feishu (Lark) cloud documents using the lark-cli command-line tool. Once installed, when you give the agent a Feishu document link, it knows which reference guide to follow to read, summarize, create, or edit the document, insert or download images and attachments, manage cover images, work with whiteboards, and handle mind notes. It also tells the agent to route comment and Drive file tasks to a different skill.

Great for

  • Teams that keep project documentation in Feishu/Lark and want an agent to draft or update it
  • Developers or writers who need an agent to summarize or rewrite Feishu docs from a link
  • Users already set up with the lark-cli tool and a Feishu account

Skip it if

  • Anyone without a Feishu/Lark account or lark-cli set up, since the skill cannot run without them
  • Editing or overwriting important live documents without review, because the skill can change document content and revert history (risk of unwanted changes)
  • Spreadsheet or Base table data, which the skill explicitly does not cover

Try asking

  • “Summarize this Feishu doc: https://example.feishu.cn/docx/...”
  • “Create a new document from scratch about our Q3 onboarding plan”
  • “Polish and reorganize the content of this Feishu wiki page”
  • “Download the images attached to this document”
Step-by-step guide: how to use Feishu Docs EditorInstall, first run, examples, tips and FAQs

Install in 3 steps

  1. 1

    Download the skill

    The ZIP contains the 15 original files, the MIT licence and an attribution note.

    lark-doc.zip
  2. 2

    Add it to your agent

    Claude Code (all projects)

    mkdir -p ~/.claude/skills && unzip lark-doc.zip -d ~/.claude/skills/

    Claude Code / Agent SDK (this project only)

    mkdir -p .claude/skills && unzip lark-doc.zip -d .claude/skills/

    Claude apps (web/desktop): Settings → Capabilities → Skills → Upload skill, and choose the ZIP.

  3. 3

    Ask for the task

    No special command needed — the agent reads the skill's description and loads it when your request matches. Try one of the prompts above.

Get better results

  • Name the document link or token explicitly so the agent routes to the right reference guide.
  • Review changes before accepting them, especially for edits, history reverts, and create-from-scratch workflows.
  • Use the default Drive skill for file-level tasks like copying documents rather than rebuilding content from scratch.
