What it does

Once installed, the agent can work with a user's Feishu (Lark) mailbox through the lark-cli command-line tool: finding and reading emails and threads, organizing messages with labels, read status, folders and trash, and drafting, replying, forwarding or scheduling emails. The skill's default is to save outgoing mail as a draft and only send after the user explicitly confirms. It also includes safety rules telling the agent to treat email content as untrusted data, not as instructions.

Great for

  • Professionals who run their daily inbox triage in Feishu/Lark and want an agent to summarize and organize it
  • Teams drafting recurring reports or emails from HTML templates in Feishu Mail
  • Developers building or testing automations around Feishu mail with lark-cli

Skip it if

  • Users who need an agent to send email autonomously without reviewing it: the skill is designed to require confirmation before sending, deletion or rule changes, and bypassing that defeats its safety design
  • Users of Gmail, Outlook or other providers: the skill only works with Feishu/Lark mail through lark-cli
  • Users who have not set up lark-cli and Feishu authorization: the skill cannot access any mailbox without them

Try asking

  • “Summarize my unread Feishu mail from today and flag anything that needs a reply”
  • “Draft a reply to the thread from my manager about the Q3 budget and show me the draft link before sending”
  • “Move all newsletter emails from last week into a folder called Reading”
  • “Create a weekly team status email from the team report template as a draft”
Step-by-step guide: how to use Feishu Mail AssistantInstall, first run, examples, tips and FAQs

Install in 3 steps

  1. 1

    Download the skill

    The ZIP contains the 15 original files, the MIT licence and an attribution note.

    lark-mail.zip
  2. 2

    Add it to your agent

    Claude Code (all projects)

    mkdir -p ~/.claude/skills && unzip lark-mail.zip -d ~/.claude/skills/

    Claude Code / Agent SDK (this project only)

    mkdir -p .claude/skills && unzip lark-mail.zip -d .claude/skills/

    Claude apps (web/desktop): Settings → Capabilities → Skills → Upload skill, and choose the ZIP.

  3. 3

    Ask for the task

    No special command needed — the agent reads the skill's description and loads it when your request matches. Try one of the prompts above.

Get better results

  • Ask for a draft first and review the preview before saying 'send', since sending is the irreversible step
  • Use --as user for personal mailboxes; bot identity needs admin-granted app permissions and an explicit mailbox address
  • Be specific about which emails you mean (sender, subject, date) so the agent previews the exact set before moving or deleting
