What it does
Once installed, the agent can remove specific saved memories from agentmemory, a memory store for AI agents. It first searches for matching memories, shows you what it found (with secret values redacted), and deletes only the IDs you confirm. It does not wipe whole sessions, and it does not touch lessons, which are handled by a separate delete action.
Great for
- Developers who use agentmemory and need to remove a stale or sensitive note such as an old API key reference
- Users handling a privacy request who want specific stored data scrubbed with a confirmation step
- Anyone learning how agent memory deletion can be made safer with a preview and explicit approval
Skip it if
- Clearing an entire session or all memory: the skill states this operation does not support whole-session erasure, and search results are relevance matches rather than a full inventory, so some data may be missed.
- Deleting lessons or observations: lessons need a different action and observation IDs are not supported, so the skill will not handle those.
- Setups without agentmemory installed: the skill depends on its memory_smart_search and memory_governance_delete tools and will not function without them.
Try asking
- “Forget the old API key I saved in my config notes”
- “Delete the memory about my test project and show me what matches first”
- “Remove that note about my home address for a privacy request”
- “Find memories mentioning the staging database password and delete the ones I confirm”

Ask for the task
No special command needed — the agent reads the skill's description and loads it when your request matches. Try one of the prompts above.
Get better results
- Be specific in your request (a distinctive phrase or project name) so the search returns the right memories, and review the list carefully before answering yes.
- Use the recall skill first to find the exact memory ID if a search is ambiguous.
- Deletion is irreversible per the skill, so check the reported deleted, notFound and failed counts afterwards.
