What it does
This is a reference guide that teaches an AI agent established C#/.NET backend conventions. Once installed, when you ask for help with a .NET API, service, or database layer, the agent follows patterns it lists: clean architecture folder layout, dependency injection lifetimes, async/await rules such as avoiding blocking calls and async void, IOptions configuration, and guidance on Entity Framework Core, Dapper, Redis caching and xUnit testing. The visible text is mostly code examples and do/don't rules, not executable tools.
Great for
- C#/.NET developers building Web APIs, MCP servers or enterprise backends
- Teams doing code review who want consistent async and dependency injection checks
- Developers choosing between EF Core and Dapper for a data access layer
Skip it if
- Non-.NET stacks such as Node, Python or Java, where the patterns do not apply
- Production sign-off on its own: it is general guidance and the examples are not tested against your codebase, so verify against your project and framework version
Try asking
- “Review this C# service for async/await mistakes and deadlock risks”
- “Design a clean architecture project structure for a new .NET 8 Web API”
- “Set up IOptions configuration and Redis caching for my catalog service”
- “Compare when to use EF Core versus Dapper for a reporting query”

Ask for the task
No special command needed — the agent reads the skill's description and loads it when your request matches. Try one of the prompts above.
Get better results
- Name your .NET version and framework (ASP.NET Core Minimal API or controllers) so the agent picks the right examples
- Paste the code you want reviewed and ask for a list of violations against the listed rules
- Treat the patterns as a starting point and check them against your own team's standards and official Microsoft docs
