What it does

This skill teaches an AI agent to run a repeatable daily routine that gathers five recent landing-page designs from the web, such as Framer Marketplace sites, and packages them into a dated article folder. For each reference the agent saves a still image, a full-page screenshot cut into section crops, motion frames from a short screen recording when possible, and a long prompt another AI builder could use to recreate the feel. It also checks the new items against earlier captures to avoid duplicates and writes a content.md and manifest.json.

Great for

  • Designers or front-end developers who want a steady stream of annotated website inspiration
  • Content creators who publish a daily UI inspiration article and want a consistent structure
  • Teams that already maintain a similar runbook and want an agent to follow it

Skip it if

  • Casual users who just want a few screenshots: the workflow is long and assumes a specific project layout with articles/ and scripts/ folders
  • Capturing sites behind logins or paywalls, or reproducing copyrighted designs verbatim, since the skill pushes reuse as a prompt and does not address licensing

Try asking

  • “Run today's daily UI inspiration capture for my content project”
  • “Refresh the inspiration bundle and avoid repeating last week's sources”
  • “Validate the articles/2025-06-01-ui-inspiration-capture bundle and run the duplicate checker”
  • “Turn our project runbook into a repeatable UI inspiration workflow”
Step-by-step guide: how to use Daily UI Inspiration CaptureInstall, first run, examples, tips and FAQs

Install in 3 steps

  1. 1

    Download the skill

    The ZIP contains the 6 original files, the MIT licence and an attribution note.

    daily-ui-inspiration-capture.zip
  2. 2

    Add it to your agent

    Claude Code (all projects)

    mkdir -p ~/.claude/skills && unzip daily-ui-inspiration-capture.zip -d ~/.claude/skills/

    Claude Code / Agent SDK (this project only)

    mkdir -p .claude/skills && unzip daily-ui-inspiration-capture.zip -d .claude/skills/

    Claude apps (web/desktop): Settings → Capabilities → Skills → Upload skill, and choose the ZIP.

  3. 3

    Ask for the task

    No special command needed — the agent reads the skill's description and loads it when your request matches. Try one of the prompts above.

Get better results

  • Point the agent at a specific project directory, since the skill defaults to the current workspace and asks it to state which one it used
  • Review the duplicate-checker output and the copyright status of captured references before publishing
  • Give it an AGENTS.md or runbook so the project-specific rules override the defaults
