What it does
This skill teaches an AI agent how to design and build visual effects for browser games made with Three.js, such as attack flashes, impact sparks, damage feedback, status effects, spell trails, particles, shaders, and telegraph warnings. Once installed, the agent first defines what each effect means for gameplay, then implements it with pooling, capped particle counts, and clean teardown so effects don't leak memory or persist after reset, death, or pause. It also expects reduced-motion alternatives and low-quality tiers, and suggests testing overlaps, rapid repetition, and touch screens.
Great for
- Developers building 3D or browser-based games with Three.js who want consistent, performant effects
- Game teams that need readable combat feedback and accessibility-minded reduced-motion options
- Anyone asking an agent to add particles, shaders, or telegraphs to an existing Three.js scene
Skip it if
- Non-Three.js engines such as Unity, Unreal, or Godot, since the instructions are specific to Three.js (the skill would give mismatched API guidance)
- Non-game projects or pure 2D sprite work, where the performance and telegraph guidance adds little value
- Projects needing a finished, copy-paste effect library: the file gives design and process rules, not ready-made code
Try asking
- “Create a damage flash and hit spark effect for a melee attack in my Three.js game, with a reduced-motion alternative”
- “Design a telegraph warning for a boss ground slam that shows the area before it lands”
- “Add a poison status effect with lingering particles and make sure it cleans up on player death”
- “Review my existing particle system for pooling, spawn caps, and low-quality fallbacks”

Ask for the task
No special command needed — the agent reads the skill's description and loads it when your request matches. Try one of the prompts above.
Get better results
- Give the agent your game's current quality tiers, target devices, and whether reduced motion is already supported so it aligns with your setup
- Ask for the specification step first (trigger, duration, gameplay meaning, spawn cap) so effects are designed before they are coded
- Request profiling output such as draw calls and frame time from your live scene to verify the effect actually performs
