What it does
When installed, the agent follows a fixed checklist for submitting a change to the Prisma ORM project from an outside contributor's fork. It reads the project's contribution docs, checks the change is focused and has tests, runs the project's test and lint commands, makes sure every commit carries a Signed-off-by line, and writes a conventional-commit title and a structured PR description. The skill's stated goal is to help the pull request pass review on the first round.
Great for
- Outside contributors preparing a first or small pull request to prisma/orm
- Developers who want an agent to walk through the CONTRIBUTING.md process step by step
- Contributors who are not Prisma maintainers and do not have access to internal tickets
Skip it if
- Prisma maintainers with Linear access, who should use the separate create-pr skill instead (the skill says so itself)
- Security vulnerabilities: the skill tells the agent to stop and use private vulnerability reporting rather than a public PR, so it is not for disclosing those fixes publicly
- Repositories other than prisma/orm, since the commands, paths and conventions are specific to that project
Try asking
- “Open a PR for this contribution to prisma/orm”
- “Help me get this PR ready for review”
- “Submit this fix as a PR from my fork and make sure the commits are signed off”
- “Write a conventional-commit title and PR body for my change to prisma/orm”

Ask for the task
No special command needed — the agent reads the skill's description and loads it when your request matches. Try one of the prompts above.
Get better results
- Ask the agent to open a tracking issue first for any non-trivial change, as the skill recommends, to avoid a large rewrite later.
- Review the commands the agent runs (pnpm test, git rebase, git push --force-with-lease) before approving, since it rewrites commit history and force-pushes to your fork.
- Keep one logical change per PR; ask the agent to split unrelated fixes into separate branches.
