What it does
Once installed, the agent can take your most recent Granola meeting notes and work out the next steps: who owns each one, which team, a due date, and the existing Linear issue tracking it. It draws on cognee memory built from your calls, Linear issues and Gmail inbox, then either prints the steps or posts them to Slack if Slack is set up. Without your own accounts, it runs on sample data for a fictional call and never posts to Slack.
Great for
- Teams who run many calls in Granola and want action items tracked in Linear and shared in Slack
- Developers evaluating the cognee cookbook as an example of a memory-backed agent workflow
- People who want to try the flow safely on built-in sample data first
Skip it if
- Users who need the agent to edit or send Gmail, since Gmail access is read-only by design and posting goes only to Slack
- Anyone who doesn't want their calls, issues and mailbox read and sent through an LLM, since every real run uses LLM credits and reads that data
- Quick one-off summaries where the cookbook setup (Python, uv, multiple accounts) is more work than the task
Try asking
- “Turn my latest Granola call into next steps and post them to Slack”
- “What are the action items from my last call? Show them, don't post”
- “Get next steps from my call in the last 3 days and skip Gmail”
- “Run the follow-up agent on sample data so I can see how it works”

Ask for the task
No special command needed — the agent reads the skill's description and loads it when your request matches. Try one of the prompts above.
Get better results
- Start with the sample run (no accounts set up) to see the output format before connecting real sources
- Use --days N to limit the time range and --no-linear or --no-email to leave out sources you don't want read
- Only ask for a run when you want it: real runs read your data, use LLM credits, and may post to a live Slack channel
