What it does

Once installed, the agent can help prepare structured research documents about clinical decision-support tools: intended-use statements, GRADE evidence-profile checklists, aggregate cohort table shells, survival analysis plans, aggregate model or biomarker performance summaries, traceability matrices, and de-identification process checklists. It explicitly refuses to support patient-specific care, diagnosis, treatment, triage, or live clinical use, and says all outputs are drafts that qualified humans must review and approve. Bundled scripts run locally with the Python standard library to check that required fields and internal consistency rules are present.

Great for

  • Research teams documenting an aggregate or synthetic clinical prediction or biomarker evaluation before peer review or internal governance review
  • Methodologists and statisticians who want templates and checklists for survival analysis plans and cohort tables
  • Privacy or governance reviewers preparing de-identification process documentation

Skip it if

  • Any patient-specific decision, triage, dosing, or treatment choice, because the skill explicitly prohibits these uses and routes them to licensed clinicians
  • Handling raw patient records, identifiers, free text, or images, because the skill requires confirming data is synthetic or aggregate and the scripts only partly guard against misuse
  • Claiming regulatory, HIPAA, or legal compliance, because the skill states its outputs are not compliance determinations

Try asking

  • “Create an intended-use and limitations artifact for our aggregate sepsis risk model evaluation study”
  • “Draft a GRADE evidence profile checklist for the outcomes in our systematic review, with source IDs for each judgment”
  • “Build a survival analysis plan template with pre-specified time origin, horizon, and sensitivity analyses”
  • “Produce a traceability matrix linking each decision rule in our research prototype to its cited evidence sources”
Step-by-step guide: how to use Clinical Decision-Support Research EvaluatorInstall, first run, examples, tips and FAQs

Install in 3 steps

  1. 1

    Download the skill

    The ZIP contains the 15 original files, the MIT licence and an attribution note.

    clinical-decision-support.zip
  2. 2

    Add it to your agent

    Claude Code (all projects)

    mkdir -p ~/.claude/skills && unzip clinical-decision-support.zip -d ~/.claude/skills/

    Claude Code / Agent SDK (this project only)

    mkdir -p .claude/skills && unzip clinical-decision-support.zip -d .claude/skills/

    Claude apps (web/desktop): Settings → Capabilities → Skills → Upload skill, and choose the ZIP.

  3. 3

    Ask for the task

    No special command needed — the agent reads the skill's description and loads it when your request matches. Try one of the prompts above.

Get better results

  • Have a responsible human document that input is synthetic or aggregate before running any script, since scripts cannot verify this themselves
  • Keep source files local and write generated reports only to a reviewed local directory, never to clinical systems
  • Treat script success as a check of declared fields and consistency only, not as evidence of study quality or clinical utility
