What it does
It teaches the agent to act as a manager for several Claude Code coding agents at once. It breaks a large coding goal into a chain of missions, starts agents in separate git worktrees so they do not clash, watches their progress, and reads structured reports on what changed. It needs a running Claude DevFleet server connected over MCP; the skill itself only describes how to call that server's tools.
Great for
- Developers who already run Claude DevFleet and want to split a large feature across parallel agents
- Teams testing multi-agent workflows where each task needs its own isolated branch-like workspace
- People comfortable reviewing an AI-generated plan before agents start coding
Skip it if
- Users without a Claude DevFleet instance, since the tools will not exist and the skill cannot run on its own
- Small single-file edits, where one agent is simpler and cheaper
- Unattended use on important repositories: the described flow auto-merges completed missions, which can introduce bad changes if reports are not reviewed
Try asking
- “Plan a project: build a REST API with authentication and tests, then show me the mission plan before dispatching”
- “Dispatch the first mission and monitor its status until it finishes”
- “Get the report for mission M2 and summarize files changed and next steps”
- “List all missions in project X that are still running”

Add it to your agent
Claude Code (all projects)
mkdir -p ~/.claude/skills && unzip claude-devfleet.zip -d ~/.claude/skills/Claude Code / Agent SDK (this project only)
mkdir -p .claude/skills && unzip claude-devfleet.zip -d .claude/skills/Claude apps (web/desktop): Settings → Capabilities → Skills → Upload skill, and choose the ZIP.

Ask for the task
No special command needed — the agent reads the skill's description and loads it when your request matches. Try one of the prompts above.
Get better results
- Review the plan returned by plan_project before dispatching, since the workflow expects user approval first
- Check get_report output and diffs before relying on auto-merged changes
- Set max_turns and model on dispatch_mission to limit cost and runaway agents
