What it does
This skill gives Claude Code a memory for each of your projects. You register a project once, then save a short summary of what you did, what you were working on, next steps, decisions and blockers at the end of a session. When you come back later, it loads that saved context so Claude can pick up where you left off. The commands run small Node.js scripts stored in the skill folder, and the skill writes its data to files under ~/.claude/ck/.
Great for
- Developers who work on the same project across many Claude Code sessions and lose track of progress
- People who want a written handoff of decisions, blockers and next steps between sessions
Skip it if
- Teams needing shared, synced project memory: the data is stored locally in the user's home folder and is not described as shared or backed up (no sync is mentioned in the file)
- Sensitive projects where saved summaries could include secrets or private details: the save step records conversation content into local JSON and Markdown files, so avoid putting credentials in sessions
Try asking
- “/ck:init to register this project and confirm the detected stack and goal”
- “/ck:save to store a summary and next steps at the end of today's session”
- “/ck:resume to get a full briefing before continuing work on the project”
- “/ck:resume my-app to load the context of a specific project by name”

Ask for the task
No special command needed — the agent reads the skill's description and loads it when your request matches. Try one of the prompts above.
Get better results
- Review the draft summary and next steps before confirming a save, since the agent writes them from the conversation
- Do not edit CONTEXT.md by hand; the file says it is generated from context.json
- Run /ck:save after making changes so resume briefings stay accurate
