What it does
When you ask for trending topics, the agent reads a list of configured sources (such as Hacker News, Reddit, YouTube, Bilibili or Weibo hot lists), collects today's popular items, removes ones you already have or already rejected, gives each a rough score, and proposes the best ones for you to add to a candidates.md file. You choose which to keep. It is meant to solve the 'I have no content ideas' problem. Per the file, the default source is only manual-paste, where you paste links or titles yourself; other sources are described in separate adapter files that were not provided.
Great for
- Creators who need a steady pool of topic ideas and do not want to hunt for them daily
- Marketers who want a quick list of what is trending in their niche before planning posts
Skip it if
- Users who need guaranteed accurate scores: the scoring is explicitly a rough, snapshot-based filter, not a reliable prediction of performance
- Users who expect it to scrape platforms like Douyin without setup: the file says this fails without cookies and points to a separate configuration document
Try asking
- “抓热点”
- “find topics for today”
- “trending now”
- “今天有什么可做的”

Ask for the task
No special command needed — the agent reads the skill's description and loads it when your request matches. Try one of the prompts above.
Get better results
- Start with the default manual-paste source, which is the most reliable, and add other sources once they work
- Review the rough composite scores as a filter only and confirm the final angle yourself before writing content
- Keep the dedupe history intact so the same trends are not suggested repeatedly
