What it does
Once installed, the agent can take a recording made with the Riffrec capture tool (a synchronized screen, voice and event session delivered as a zip) or other feedback such as audio, video or meeting notes, and turn it into a structured bug report or requirements document. For short recordings it produces one evidence-backed bug report; for longer ones it produces a fuller set of findings and hands off to a brainstorming step. It can also walk a user through installing Riffrec and sharing a capture.
Great for
- Product teams who collect screen-recorded user feedback and want it turned into tickets
- Developers who need reproducible bug descriptions from a recorded session
- Product managers converting walkthrough recordings into requirements
Skip it if
- Users with no recordings who only want general UX advice, since the skill is built around analyzing existing artifacts
- Sessions containing sensitive personal or customer data, because extracted frames and transcripts are kept locally by default but the analysis script processes the raw content and may need network or model services; review privacy before running
Try asking
- “Analyze this riffrec-session.zip and give me one bug report for the checkout error”
- “Turn this 15-minute recorded walkthrough into a requirements summary”
- “Transcribe this short voice note and extract the bug it describes”
- “Help me install Riffrec and set up a capture I can share with the team”

Ask for the task
No special command needed — the agent reads the skill's description and loads it when your request matches. Try one of the prompts above.
Get better results
- Give the agent context about what the recording shows so it can choose the quick or extensive path
- Keep raw recordings and frames out of git; commit only text summaries without sensitive data
- Check the script's output before trusting transcripts, since speech recognition can misread technical terms
