What it does
After you deploy a website or app, or merge risky code, this skill tells the agent to repeatedly check the live URL for problems. It looks at HTTP status, new browser console errors, failed or 5xx network calls, Core Web Vitals (LCP, CLS, INP) compared with a baseline, whether key page elements such as the heading, navigation, footer and call-to-action are still present, and whether important API endpoints respond in time. It reports status and differences from baseline, and can alert on critical issues.
Great for
- Developers or small teams who ship to production and want a quick check after each deploy
- Release engineers watching a launch window for regressions
- Teams comparing staging against production before promoting a change
Skip it if
- Full functional or UI test suites, since it is a monitoring pass, not a test framework (use dedicated QA tools for that)
- Sites you do not own or have no permission to hit repeatedly, because continuous polling may be unwelcome or look like abuse
Try asking
- “/canary-watch https://myapp.com”
- “/canary-watch https://myapp.com --interval 5m --duration 2h”
- “/canary-watch --compare https://staging.myapp.com https://myapp.com”

Ask for the task
No special command needed — the agent reads the skill's description and loads it when your request matches. Try one of the prompts above.
Get better results
- Establish a baseline on a known-good deploy first, since regression thresholds are measured against it.
- Keep the polling interval and duration modest to avoid loading production or triggering rate limits.
- Pair with the benchmark and browser QA skills mentioned in the file for deeper performance and UI checks.
