What it does

This skill teaches an AI agent how to plan the visual assets for a Three.js or other web-based game. Instead of turning every reference image into a 3D model, the agent picks the best form for each asset: an imported rigged model for a main character, code-generated geometry for weapons or props that need controllable shapes, or 2D images and video for UI and icons. It also covers checking assets inside the running game, measuring performance, and recording where each asset came from and its license.

Great for

  • Indie or hobby developers building a Three.js or browser game who want help organising assets
  • Game designers planning which assets to commission, generate or code
  • Teams auditing an existing game's asset pipeline for performance and licensing gaps

Skip it if

  • Non-web game engines such as Unity or Unreal, since the guidance is written around Three.js and web runtime budgets
  • Projects that need a finished 3D model from a single image, because the skill itself warns a single image cannot establish hidden geometry

Try asking

  • “Plan the asset pipeline for a Three.js dungeon game with a hero character, enemies and pickups”
  • “Audit my game's assets for license, scale and draw-call budget problems”
  • “Create a procedural geometry factory for a sword with named parts and sockets”
  • “Decide whether a concept image should be used as UI art or converted into a 3D model”
Step-by-step guide: how to use Hybrid Game Asset PlannerInstall, first run, examples, tips and FAQs

Install in 3 steps

  1. 1

    Download the skill

    The ZIP contains the 2 original files, the MIT licence and an attribution note.

    build-hybrid-game-assets.zip
  2. 2

    Add it to your agent

    Claude Code (all projects)

    mkdir -p ~/.claude/skills && unzip build-hybrid-game-assets.zip -d ~/.claude/skills/

    Claude Code / Agent SDK (this project only)

    mkdir -p .claude/skills && unzip build-hybrid-game-assets.zip -d .claude/skills/

    Claude apps (web/desktop): Settings → Capabilities → Skills → Upload skill, and choose the ZIP.

  3. 3

    Ask for the task

    No special command needed — the agent reads the skill's description and loads it when your request matches. Try one of the prompts above.

Get better results

  • Give the agent a concrete game and the list of assets you need so it can classify each one
  • Provide several reference views (front, side, palette close-up) when geometry matters
  • Ask for a provenance record for every asset so license status stays traceable
