What it does
Once installed, when you ask the agent to check a deployed web page, it follows a structured test routine: it opens the page in a browser it controls, looks for console and network errors, clicks navigation links, submits forms with valid and invalid data, and captures screenshots at phone, tablet and desktop widths to spot layout breaks. It also runs basic accessibility checks against WCAG AA and produces a pass/fail QA report. The skill itself is only written instructions; it relies on a separate browser automation tool to actually drive the page.
Great for
- Developers who want a quick smoke and regression check after deploying to staging or a preview environment
- Front-end reviewers checking a pull request that changes UI or forms
- Teams wanting a consistent checklist for responsive and accessibility testing
Skip it if
- Production sites with logins or real customer data: the flow tests login and forms, which could affect live accounts or records (use a test environment instead)
- Teams without a browser automation tool (Playwright, Puppeteer or claude-in-chrome) installed: the skill cannot run without one
- Non-technical users expecting a finished testing product: it is a set of instructions, not a standalone app
Try asking
- “Run browser QA on our staging URL after this deploy and report any console errors or broken links”
- “Check the signup form with valid and invalid data and tell me if error messages appear”
- “Test our product pages at 375px, 768px and 1440px and flag layout overflow”
- “Run an accessibility check on the checkout page and list WCAG AA violations”

Claude Code (all projects)
mkdir -p ~/.claude/skills && unzip browser-qa.zip -d ~/.claude/skills/Claude Code / Agent SDK (this project only)
mkdir -p .claude/skills && unzip browser-qa.zip -d .claude/skills/Claude apps (web/desktop): Settings → Capabilities → Skills → Upload skill, and choose the ZIP.

Ask for the task
No special command needed — the agent reads the skill's description and loads it when your request matches. Try one of the prompts above.
Get better results
- Point it at a staging or preview URL rather than production, and use test accounts for login and checkout flows
- Provide a saved baseline screenshot set if you want meaningful visual regression comparisons
- Pair it with the related performance and monitoring commands mentioned in the skill for fuller post-deploy coverage
