What it does

This skill gives the AI agent a reference of common server-side coding patterns: how to design REST API routes, separate data access (repository) from business logic (service layer), write efficient database queries that avoid the N+1 problem, add Redis or in-memory caching, wrap requests with authentication middleware, and handle errors consistently. When a developer asks for backend work, the agent follows these conventions and example code instead of improvising. The file is written in Spanish and is mostly code examples, not executable tooling.

Great for

  • Developers building Node.js, Express or Next.js API backends who want consistent structure
  • Teams using Supabase or Redis who want reference caching and query patterns
  • Developers reviewing or refactoring an existing API for performance or layering

Skip it if

  • Non-programmers, since the patterns assume working knowledge of TypeScript and databases
  • Production systems copied verbatim: examples are illustrative and omit details like the findByIds method, vector search implementation and error-handling class body, so they need adapting and security review (for example the auth middleware simply trusts verifyToken)

Try asking

  • “Design REST endpoints for a new orders API in Express following resource-based URLs”
  • “Refactor this service so the database access sits behind a repository interface”
  • “Find and fix N+1 query problems in my Next.js API route that loads posts and authors”
  • “Add Redis caching with invalidation to my product lookup endpoint”

Install in 3 steps

  1. 1

    Download the skill

    The ZIP contains the 1 original files, the MIT licence and an attribution note.

    backend-patterns.zip
  2. 2

    Add it to your agent

    Claude Code (all projects)

    mkdir -p ~/.claude/skills && unzip backend-patterns.zip -d ~/.claude/skills/

    Claude Code / Agent SDK (this project only)

    mkdir -p .claude/skills && unzip backend-patterns.zip -d .claude/skills/

    Claude apps (web/desktop): Settings → Capabilities → Skills → Upload skill, and choose the ZIP.

  3. 3

    Ask for the task

    No special command needed — the agent reads the skill's description and loads it when your request matches. Try one of the prompts above.

Get better results

  • Ask the agent to adapt the patterns to your own ORM, framework and database instead of copying Supabase-specific code
  • Review any generated auth, transaction or caching code before deploying, since the examples are simplified
  • Mention your framework version so the agent picks the correct Next.js or Express conventions
