What it does
This skill teaches an AI agent how to work with Google Cloud Application Integration, a service for building automated workflows. Once installed, the agent knows the correct REST endpoints and Python client calls to list, download, upload, publish, test and invoke integrations, and to promote versions between environments such as in CI/CD pipelines. It also tells the agent to ask for your approval before any change, and to avoid storing secrets in plain-text config variables.
Great for
- Developers who manage Google Cloud Application Integration workflows as code
- Teams automating promotion of integration versions across dev, staging and production
- Engineers who want an agent to export, edit and re-upload integration JSON safely
Skip it if
- Initial project setup, region provisioning or IAM role setup, which the skill hands off to a separate application-integration-basics skill
- Diagnosing failed runs or reading execution logs, which belongs to application-integration-troubleshooting; this skill does not cover it
- Users with no Google Cloud project, since the skill requires billing, enabled APIs and authentication before it is useful
Try asking
- “List the integrations in my us-central1 region and show the versions of each one”
- “Download the latest version of my order-sync integration as JSON so I can review it”
- “Upload my edited integration JSON as a new draft and show me the command before it runs”
- “Write a CI/CD step that promotes a published integration version from staging to production”

Claude Code (all projects)
mkdir -p ~/.claude/skills && unzip application-integration-authoring.zip -d ~/.claude/skills/Claude Code / Agent SDK (this project only)
mkdir -p .claude/skills && unzip application-integration-authoring.zip -d .claude/skills/Claude apps (web/desktop): Settings → Capabilities → Skills → Upload skill, and choose the ZIP.

Ask for the task
No special command needed — the agent reads the skill's description and loads it when your request matches. Try one of the prompts above.
Get better results
- Review every command and JSON payload the agent shows you before approving it, since state-changing actions need your explicit confirmation
- Store credentials in authentication profiles or Secret Manager rather than CONFIG_ variables, which are stored in plain text
- Check the IAM requirements first, especially the run-as service account rules for integrations created on or after October 15, 2026
