What it does
Once installed, the agent can collect product details, prices, stock status, customer reviews and seller listings from supported online stores such as Amazon, Walmart and Google Shopping, using Apify's scraping service. It follows a guided workflow to choose the right data source, build the request, run a bundled Node.js script, save results as CSV or JSON, and summarise the findings. Scraping runs through a paid third-party account rather than the agent scraping pages directly.
Great for
- Pricing analysts tracking competitor prices or checking MAP compliance
- Brand managers reviewing customer sentiment and defect patterns in reviews
- Brand protection teams looking for unauthorised resellers
Skip it if
- Anyone wanting a one-off manual price check, since setting up an Apify account and token is more work than visiting the page (cost and setup)
- Collecting personal data about individual reviewers or sellers, which may breach platform terms or privacy law (legal risk, the skill does not address this)
- Treating scraped samples as statistically representative, as the skill itself warns more reviews alone do not guarantee valid sentiment (accuracy risk)
Try asking
- “Compare current prices for Samsung Galaxy S24 across Amazon and Walmart and summarise the price range”
- “Pull the 200 most recent reviews for wireless earbuds on Amazon and find recurring complaints about defects”
- “Find sellers of Nike Air Max 90 on Google Shopping to spot unauthorised resellers”

Ask for the task
No special command needed — the agent reads the skill's description and loads it when your request matches. Try one of the prompts above.
Get better results
- Start with a small maxProductResults or maxReviewResults value to check cost and output before large runs
- Keep the APIFY_TOKEN in the .env file rather than pasting it into chat, and review the script before first use
- Remember that currency and seller regions can vary in results, and that 'Lowest rated' sorting may not work on every marketplace
