What it does
Once installed, the agent can plan and carry out a move from AngularJS (1.x) to modern Angular. It explains three migration strategies (big bang, incremental hybrid, vertical slice), shows how to bootstrap a hybrid app that runs both frameworks together, and gives before-and-after examples for converting controllers, directives, services, dependency injection and routes. It is a reference of patterns and code templates; it does not run any tooling itself.
Great for
- Teams with a large AngularJS codebase who want to migrate gradually while still shipping features
- Developers who need example conversions of controllers, directives, services or routes
- Engineers planning which migration strategy suits their app size and release process
Skip it if
- Projects not using AngularJS or already fully on modern Angular, since the patterns target the AngularJS-to-Angular path
- Users expecting an automated code converter; the skill gives examples the agent adapts by hand, so output needs review and testing
- Apps where the examples are applied without checking versions, as the templates use older APIs such as NgModule and ngUpgrade that may differ in current Angular releases
Try asking
- “Plan an incremental migration of our AngularJS dashboard to Angular using hybrid mode”
- “Convert this AngularJS UserController and its service into Angular components and services”
- “Show me how to set up ngUpgrade bootstrapping for a hybrid app”
- “Move our AngularJS ngRoute config to Angular routing”

Ask for the task
No special command needed — the agent reads the skill's description and loads it when your request matches. Try one of the prompts above.
Get better results
- Give the agent your AngularJS version and target Angular version so it picks compatible APIs.
- Ask for one controller, directive or service at a time and run your test suite after each change.
- Verify generated code against the official Angular upgrade guide, since the bundled examples are illustrative and some are incomplete (for example the routing snippet references components not defined).
