AI video transition prompts

Generate transition shots (whip pans, object wipes, morphs, push-throughs) that bridge two scenes instead of a plain cut.

You'll need: An image-to-video model; start and end frame support makes this much easier

Fill in your details

Values are inserted into every prompt below. Nothing you type leaves your browser.

9 field(s) left — unfilled variables stay as {{placeholders}}.

  1. 1Choose a transition type

Whip pan: fast pan with motion blur, cut hidden in the blur. Object wipe: something passes close to the lens and fills the frame. Push-through: camera flies through an opening (window, keyhole, leaves). Morph: one shape becomes another; needs start and end frames.

  2. 2Generate the transition

Use the last frame of scene A as the start frame and the first frame of scene B as the end frame if your tool allows it.

Transition shot from {{scene_a}} to {{scene_b}}.
    Transition: {{transition_type}}. {{transition_detail}}.
Camera: continuous movement through the transition, no cut, {{camera_speed}}.
Lighting: shifts from {{light_a}} to {{light_b}} during the transition.
    Duration {{duration}}, aspect ratio {{aspect_ratio}}.
Avoid: text, captions, watermarks, logos, extra limbs or fingers, warped faces, flicker, sudden cuts, freeze frames, abrupt jumps, melting faces.

Example input

From reading in a grey flat to walking on a beach, push-through the book pages; 3s; 9:16.

Example output

Transition shot from a woman reading by a window in a grey city flat to the same woman walking on a sunny tropical beach. Transition: push-through. The camera pushes into the open book's pages, which fill the frame, then the pages part to reveal the beach. Camera: continuous movement through the transition, no cut, accelerating then easing out. Lighting: shifts from cool overcast window light to bright warm sunlight during the transition. Duration 3 seconds, aspect ratio 9:16. Avoid: text, captions, watermarks, logos, extra limbs or fingers, warped faces, flicker, sudden cuts, freeze frames, abrupt jumps, melting faces.

Troubleshooting

  • The transition is a cut, not a move: describe the frame-filling moment explicitly ('the pages fill the whole frame').
  • Morphs look gloopy: switch to an object wipe; it hides the change instead of animating it.

Known limitations

  • Without start/end frame support, landing exactly on your scene B is unlikely; finish with a short crossfade.
