About

Compress JPG, PNG and WebP images in bulk with a quality slider, live size estimate and before/after preview. Free, private, no upload.

How to use it

  1. 1Drop one or more images (JPG, PNG, WebP or AVIF).
  2. 2Pick a quality level and output format — the estimate updates as you drag.
  3. 3Optionally cap the longest side (e.g. 1920 px) for much bigger savings.
  4. 4Click Compress, compare before/after, then download each file or all as a ZIP.
You give
JPG, PNG, WebP, AVIF (GIF/BMP are converted to PNG)
You get
Compressed JPG, PNG or WebP files, individually or as a ZIP
Good to know
Uses your browser's built-in encoders, so results vary slightly between Chrome, Firefox and Safari. PNG stays lossless in “Keep” mode — choose WebP or JPEG to shrink PNGs a lot. If re-encoding would make a file bigger, the original is kept. Metadata (EXIF) is removed. Very large photos (50+ megapixels) may be slow on phones.

FAQ

What quality setting should I use?

75–85% is visually identical to the original for most photos while cutting the size by 50–80%. Go to 60% for thumbnails; stay at 90%+ for images with fine text.

Why didn't my PNG get smaller?

PNG is lossless, so re-saving it rarely helps. Switch the output to WebP (keeps transparency) or JPEG (no transparency) to get large savings.

Are my photos uploaded?

No. Compression runs on your device using the browser's canvas encoder, so the files never leave your computer.
