What it does
Once installed, the agent drafts and reviews developer documentation such as getting-started guides, tutorials, API references, troubleshooting pages and code examples. It follows editorial and structural conventions from the reference files and is told to check technical claims and code against the actual source code before publishing them. It can also use scratch notes and delegate parallel research to subagents when available.
Great for
- Maintainers writing or revising docs for an SDK, library or framework
- Developers reviewing existing documentation pages for accuracy and clarity
- Teams wanting consistent editorial style and page structure across a docs site
Skip it if
- Non-technical writing such as marketing copy or general prose, since it is scoped to developer documentation (the guidance is specialised for this purpose)
- Publishing unverified claims without a review step, because the skill asks the agent to check source but results still depend on the agent's accuracy and the user's review
Try asking
- “Write a getting-started guide for our SDK based on the code in this repository”
- “Review this API reference page against the editorial standards and suggest fixes”
- “Draft a migration guide from v1 to v2 of our library, verifying breaking changes in the source”
- “Restructure this troubleshooting page into a clearer task-oriented format”

Ask for the task
No special command needed — the agent reads the skill's description and loads it when your request matches. Try one of the prompts above.
Get better results
- Point the agent at the repository and target package version so it can verify claims against real source code.
- Provide the destination documentation site's existing pages so the agent can match terminology, components and navigation.
- Review the final draft yourself, since the skill asks for verification but cannot guarantee technical accuracy.
