What it does
This skill teaches an AI coding agent how to write and debug Python code that uses the Swarms framework. Swarms lets you create AI agents (each configured with a model, a system prompt, and optional Python tools) and combine them into multi-agent structures such as sequential, concurrent, hierarchical, or routed workflows. Once installed, the agent knows the framework's main classes, parameters, and common pitfalls, so it can produce working Swarms code more reliably.
Great for
- Python developers building multi-agent LLM applications with the Swarms library
- Teams reviewing or debugging existing code that imports swarms
- People who want an assistant to scaffold Agent classes with tools, streaming, or MCP servers
Skip it if
- People who do not write Python or do not use the swarms library: the skill only helps with that framework's code
- Financial decisions based on the example: example.py is a generic demo prompt for a trading-style agent and does not provide validated investment advice
Try asking
- “Create a Swarms Agent with a system prompt and a tool that fetches stock prices”
- “Set up a SequentialWorkflow of three agents that research, draft, and review a document”
- “Debug why my Swarms agent is not calling its tools”
- “Add streaming output to my Swarms agent using streaming_callback”

Add it to your agent
Claude Code (all projects)
mkdir -p ~/.claude/skills && unzip swarms.zip -d ~/.claude/skills/Claude Code / Agent SDK (this project only)
mkdir -p .claude/skills && unzip swarms.zip -d .claude/skills/Claude apps (web/desktop): Settings → Capabilities → Skills → Upload skill, and choose the ZIP.

Ask for the task
No special command needed — the agent reads the skill's description and loads it when your request matches. Try one of the prompts above.
Get better results
- Tell the agent which Swarms version you use, since the skill states it was verified against v14.0.0 and may lag the library; the skill itself points to live docs for checking signatures
- Review any agent-generated code before running it, especially tools that call external APIs, and keep API keys in environment variables rather than source files
- Use max_loops=1 unless you need iteration or tool use, and remember tools need max_loops greater than 1
