What it does
This skill gives an AI agent a structured way to answer questions about a catalogue of trading strategies: which exist, and how they performed in bear markets, bull markets, or structural regimes. Instead of relying on labels like 'works in bear markets: yes/no', answers are built from stored backtest results, with the evidence age shown on every row. The agent can also rebuild its local evidence cache from existing backtest run folders, but it cannot create, register, or delete strategies.
Great for
- Quant researchers comparing existing strategies by regime and Sharpe ratio
- Developers building on the Vibe-Trading project who need a read-only view of strategy evidence
- Users who want to check whether backtest evidence is stale before relying on it
Skip it if
- People looking for investment advice: the skill reports backtest statistics, not guaranteed future performance, and backtests can mislead through overfitting or cost assumptions
- Users who want to create or backtest new strategies: the skill explicitly routes those requests to other workflows
Try asking
- “What strategies exist in the catalogue that work in bear markets?”
- “Show me strategies with a Sharpe ratio above 1 that clear the cost screen.”
- “Give me the per-regime evidence behind strategy sdm:example-id.”
- “Refresh the evidence cache from my backtest manifest, the evidence is stale.”

Ask for the task
No special command needed — the agent reads the skill's description and loads it when your request matches. Try one of the prompts above.
Get better results
- Leave min_evidence_quality at its default of adequate and cost_feasible at true to avoid weak or unverifiable rows.
- Use get_strategy_evidence to inspect all rows for one strategy, since query results are filtered.
- Check the stale-evidence warnings before acting on any result, and refresh the cache from backtest runs when they appear.
