What it does

Once installed, the agent can produce a structured sector-rotation review of China A-share industries using the Shenwan (Shenwan Hongyuan) industry classification. It scores each sector out of 100 on earnings growth, earnings trend, business-cycle indicators, policy support and valuation, ranks sectors by price momentum and earnings momentum, and suggests which sectors to overweight or underweight, with example ETF codes. The skill is a methodology guide written mostly in Chinese: it gives scoring rules, a sample momentum formula in Python, supply-chain transmission patterns and a report template, rather than a live data feed.

Great for

  • Investors or analysts who want a structured framework for comparing China A-share industries
  • Students learning how sector rotation, momentum and industry-cycle analysis work
  • Developers building a Chinese equity research workflow who want a starting template

Skip it if

  • Real trading decisions without independent verification: the file gives scoring rules and example sector views, not validated backtests, and it contains no live market data
  • Users outside China A-shares or who need non-Chinese markets, since the classification, ETF codes and data sources are China-specific
  • Anyone expecting automatic data retrieval: the file names data sources (northbound flows, margin balances, PMI) but does not include code to fetch them

Try asking

  • “Rank the Shenwan first-level industries by a 100-point prosperity score and show the top 10 with reasons”
  • “Suggest which A-share sectors to overweight or underweight this quarter using momentum and fund-flow signals”
  • “Map the upstream-to-downstream transmission chain for the lithium battery industry and explain where profits may shift”
  • “Write a sector rotation report with an overweight/neutral/underweight table and a risk section”

Install in 3 steps

  1. 1

    Download the skill

    The ZIP contains the 1 original files, the MIT licence and an attribution note.

    sector-rotation.zip
  2. 2

    Add it to your agent

    Claude Code (all projects)

    mkdir -p ~/.claude/skills && unzip sector-rotation.zip -d ~/.claude/skills/

    Claude Code / Agent SDK (this project only)

    mkdir -p .claude/skills && unzip sector-rotation.zip -d .claude/skills/

    Claude apps (web/desktop): Settings → Capabilities → Skills → Upload skill, and choose the ZIP.

  3. 3

    Ask for the task

    No special command needed — the agent reads the skill's description and loads it when your request matches. Try one of the prompts above.

Get better results

  • Provide your own up-to-date Shenwan sector data (returns, ROE, PE percentiles, northbound flows) so the scores reflect current figures rather than assumptions
  • Ask the agent to explain each score's inputs and to flag cyclical stocks where low PE may be misleading, as the skill itself recommends using PB
  • Treat the output as a discussion draft: check the policy and earnings claims against primary sources before acting, and rebalance monthly or quarterly rather than often
