What it does
Once installed, the agent acts as a QA tester: it designs unit, integration, edge-case and end-to-end tests that check code against the stated requirements rather than just passing by accident. It then produces a structured report listing passing and failing tests, coverage figures it actually measured, and any remaining uncertainty. It does not invent coverage numbers and does not treat passing tests as proof of correctness.
Great for
- Developers who want test suites mapped to acceptance criteria and edge cases
- Teams using a multi-role agent squad workflow where a separate QA step is wanted
- Anyone reviewing whether an existing test suite actually covers its requirements
Skip it if
- Simple style or lint checks, which the skill explicitly says it does not do
- Running destructive, payment, account or external-message flows against live systems without isolated test environments, since the skill warns to use approved fixtures for these
- Projects with no requirements or acceptance criteria, because the skill's method depends on mapping tests to them
Try asking
- “Write unit and integration tests for this login endpoint based on the acceptance criteria in our spec”
- “Check which edge cases from the requirements doc have no test and add them”
- “Run the test suite and produce a report with failing assertions, expected versus actual values”
- “Add regression tests for the security fix we just made”

Ask for the task
No special command needed — the agent reads the skill's description and loads it when your request matches. Try one of the prompts above.
Get better results
- Provide the requirements or acceptance criteria up front, since the skill's core method maps tests to them and works poorly without them
- Point it at the real test command and coverage tool for your repo so reported numbers come from actual runs
- Review generated tests to confirm they check behavior, not implementation details
