What it does

Once installed, the agent can create new images from a text description or edit an existing image you point it to, using Google's Nano Banana 2 (Gemini image) API. It runs a bundled Python script that calls the API, saves a PNG to your current folder, and reports the file path. It also follows a draft-then-final workflow: quick 1K drafts first, then a 4K final once the prompt is right.

Get better results

  • Start with a 1K draft and only generate 4K once the prompt is settled, since higher resolutions take longer and cost more quota.
  • Prefer setting GEMINI_API_KEY as an environment variable rather than pasting a key into chat, so the key does not end up in conversation history.
  • For edits, describe one change at a time and keep the same input image across iterations so results stay consistent.
