What it does
When installed, the agent gathers public and local information about the person who wrote a pull request, such as their GitHub profile, recent merged and open PRs and issues in the target repo, and local git history. It then writes a short 'author context' summary near the top of a code review, covering who they appear to be, their activity, how they relate to the project, and any obvious risk signals. It also can record terse notes about contributors in the maintainer's own helper files after a merge or rejection.
Great for
- Maintainers reviewing pull requests who want quick background on unfamiliar contributors
- Open source teams using the OpenClaw maintainer workflow described in the file
- People adapting the pattern to their own contributor-tracking scripts
Skip it if
- Anyone wanting a general-purpose profile tool: it depends on paths like ~/Projects/maintainers and on OpenClaw-specific conventions that will not exist elsewhere
- Use on people without consent or for hiring/harassment-style judgments: it compiles employer, location and activity data and stores notes about individuals, which raises privacy and fairness concerns
Try asking
- “Review PR #123 from this contributor and give me the author context block before my review”
- “Check the GitHub profile and recent merged PRs for the author of this pull request”
- “After merging this PR, add a short contributor note about the author's work”

Ask for the task
No special command needed — the agent reads the skill's description and loads it when your request matches. Try one of the prompts above.
Get better results
- Make sure the GitHub CLI is logged in with an account that has read access, since the skill queries live profiles and repo activity.
- Keep the summary factual; the skill itself says not to quote private contact details unless asked.
- Only write contributor notes for meaningful events such as a first good merge or repeated quality problems, not routine PRs.
