What it does
This skill teaches the agent to act as a guide to the open catalogue of agent skills. When you ask something like 'is there a skill for this?' or 'how do I do X', the agent checks the skills.sh leaderboard, runs a search with the npx skills command, compares options by install count and source, and suggests one with an install command. It can also install a chosen skill for you. It does not add new abilities to the agent by itself; it helps you find and add others.
Great for
- People who want to extend their agent but don't know which skills exist
- Developers looking for ready-made workflows for React, testing, deployment or code review
- Teams who want a shortlist of popular, established skills before installing anything
Skip it if
- Tasks that need no extra skill, since the agent can often just do them directly
- Anyone who installs skills without reading them: the skill recommends popular community skills, but popularity is not a security audit, and the instructions allow installing with -y, which skips confirmation prompts
- Users without Node.js/npm, since the core commands run through npx
Try asking
- “Is there a skill that can help me write Playwright end-to-end tests?”
- “Find a skill for creating changelogs from git history”
- “How do I make my React app faster? Check for an installable skill first”
- “Install the react-best-practices skill globally for me”

Ask for the task
No special command needed — the agent reads the skill's description and loads it when your request matches. Try one of the prompts above.
Get better results
- Ask for specific terms, such as 'react testing' rather than 'testing', to get better search results.
- Read a skill's source and description on skills.sh before installing it, especially for skills from unknown authors.
- Avoid the -y flag if you want to review each install before it happens.
