What it does

Once installed, the agent writes technical documentation in a layered, task-focused style: a one-line summary first, then quick-start examples, then detailed reference. After finishing a reverse engineering, penetration test, CTF or security analysis task, it also produces a formal report saved into your project folder, using templates for each task type and optional diagrams in Mermaid format. The skill itself is mostly text instructions and templates; it points to other helper skills for style and diagrams.

Great for

  • Developers who want READMEs, API docs or architecture notes drafted consistently
  • Security researchers who need a structured writeup after a reverse engineering or CTF task
  • Teams that prefer Chinese or English reports matched to the language of the conversation

Skip it if

  • Anyone expecting verified results: the skill instructs the agent to write reports from its own findings, so claims must still be checked by a human (inaccurate or unverified findings could appear in a formal report)
  • Sensitive engagements where reports might leak real tokens, internal URLs or evidence; the skill asks for placeholders but cannot guarantee redaction

Try asking

  • “Write a README for this project with quick start and API reference”
  • “Generate a reverse engineering report in docs/ after we recovered the signing algorithm”
  • “Create a CTF writeup for the flag we just solved, with a flow diagram”
  • “Draft an API endpoint document for the user login routes”
Step-by-step guide: how to use Technical Docs and Security ReportsInstall, first run, examples, tips and FAQs

Install in 3 steps

  1. 1

    Download the skill

    The ZIP contains the 4 original files, the MIT licence and an attribution note.

    docs-generator.zip
  2. 2

    Add it to your agent

    Claude Code (all projects)

    mkdir -p ~/.claude/skills && unzip docs-generator.zip -d ~/.claude/skills/

    Claude Code / Agent SDK (this project only)

    mkdir -p .claude/skills && unzip docs-generator.zip -d .claude/skills/

    Claude apps (web/desktop): Settings → Capabilities → Skills → Upload skill, and choose the ZIP.

  3. 3

    Ask for the task

    No special command needed — the agent reads the skill's description and loads it when your request matches. Try one of the prompts above.

Get better results

  • Give the agent the exact task outcome and evidence (commands, screenshots, outputs) so the report can cite it rather than guess
  • Review generated reports before sharing, especially to remove real credentials or internal URLs
  • Specify the language you want the report in if it differs from your conversation language
