What it does

When installed, this skill teaches the agent a finance-specific framework for reading company announcements on China's A-share market, such as takeovers, major shareholder share increases or decreases, equity incentive plans, private placements and ST/delisting warnings. The agent can then estimate merger-arbitrage spreads, rate the strength of insider signals, and produce a structured event-driven report with entry, stop-loss and position-size suggestions. The skill is a set of guidelines and reference tables written in Chinese; it does not fetch live data itself.

Great for

  • Quantitative or event-driven traders studying A-share announcements
  • Finance students learning how corporate events are classified and priced
  • Analysts who want a consistent template for event-driven research reports

Skip it if

  • Investment decisions by people without finance training: the strategies and position sizes are presented as trading advice and the historical return figures are unsourced in the file
  • Non-China markets: the rules, thresholds and terminology are specific to A-shares and will not apply directly elsewhere
  • Anyone expecting real-time data: the file itself notes that data sources lag by T+1 or more

Try asking

  • “Analyze this announcement of a controlling shareholder share-buyback plan and give a signal strength rating”
  • “Calculate the merger arbitrage spread and annualized return for a tender offer at 25 yuan with the target trading at 23.5 yuan”
  • “Assess whether a company's new equity incentive plan looks like a positive or a conflict-of-interest signal”
  • “Flag which A-share stocks show ST or delisting risk conditions and suggest exclusion rules”

Claude apps (web/desktop): Settings → Capabilities → Skills → Upload skill, and choose the ZIP.

  3. 3

    Ask for the task

No special command needed — the agent reads the skill's description and loads it when your request matches. Try one of the prompts above.

Get better results

  • Verify every announcement against the official exchange filings (SSE/SZSE, CNInfo) before acting, since third-party sites lag
  • Treat the historical excess-return percentages as unverified claims from the file and check them against your own data
  • Remember the file warns that trading on pre-announcement unusual volume may constitute insider trading; get compliance advice before acting on it
