Terse Code Review
Makes the agent write short, actionable code review comments, one line per finding.

What it does
When you ask the agent to review a pull request or code diff, it writes each comment as a single line giving the location, the problem, and the fix, with no filler or hedging. It can tag findings by severity (bug, risk, nit, or question), and it switches to fuller explanations for security issues or design disagreements. It only writes review comments ready to paste; it does not change the code, approve the PR, or run linters.
Great for
- Engineers who want quick, scannable review comments on pull requests
- Teams that prefer terse feedback with exact line numbers and symbol names
- Reviewers who want a consistent severity-tagged format
Skip it if
- Newcomers who need detailed explanations on every comment, since the terse style can omit the reasoning (the skill only adds it for security, architecture, or onboarding cases)
- Security-critical reviews relying on this alone, because it does not run tools or scan code and depends on the agent reading the diff correctly
Try asking
- “/caveman-review”
- “review this PR”
- “review the diff”

Ask for the task
No special command needed — the agent reads the skill's description and loads it when your request matches. Try one of the prompts above.
Get better results
- Paste or point the agent at the diff or PR so it has the exact line numbers to reference
- Say 'normal mode' or 'stop caveman-review' if you want verbose comments for a particular review
- Check the output yourself before posting, since the agent cannot run linters or tests as part of this skill
