What it does

When installed, the agent treats frontend work (web apps, dashboards, landing pages) with a specific design playbook. It scans UI code for common AI-generated flaws such as purple gradient blobs, emoji icons, repeated three-card grids, fake vanity stats, and missing button states, and replaces them with more restrained, consistent styling. It is instructed to keep existing form logic, data handlers and API calls intact while restyling.

Great for

  • Developers who have a rough AI-generated prototype and want it to look more professional
  • Designers or front-end engineers auditing a UI for visual hierarchy and accessibility
  • Teams wanting a consistent, minimal design direction in Tailwind or CSS

Skip it if

  • Projects that need a specific existing brand or design system, since the skill pushes its own aesthetic opinions and may override them
  • Non-frontend work such as backend services or data pipelines, where it adds nothing
  • Situations where a human designer must sign off on visual changes, because the skill tells the agent to act directly on code and make many edits

Try asking

  • “Fix my UI and make it look professional in this React dashboard”
  • “Clean up the AI slop in this landing page and remove the emoji icons”
  • “Audit this app's buttons and cards for missing focus and hover states”
  • “Refactor this Tailwind layout into a less cluttered page-level control bar”
Step-by-step guide: how to use Anti-Slop DesignInstall, first run, examples, tips and FAQs

Install in 3 steps

  1. 1

    Download the skill

    The ZIP contains the 1 original files, the MIT licence and an attribution note.

    anti-slop-design.zip
  2. 2

    Add it to your agent

    Claude Code (all projects)

    mkdir -p ~/.claude/skills && unzip anti-slop-design.zip -d ~/.claude/skills/

    Claude Code / Agent SDK (this project only)

    mkdir -p .claude/skills && unzip anti-slop-design.zip -d .claude/skills/

    Claude apps (web/desktop): Settings → Capabilities → Skills → Upload skill, and choose the ZIP.

  3. 3

    Ask for the task

    No special command needed — the agent reads the skill's description and loads it when your request matches. Try one of the prompts above.

Get better results

  • Point the agent at specific files or components so it limits edits to the UI layer and does not rewrite logic.
  • Review the diff before accepting, since the skill asks for broad visual changes and removal of elements.
  • Tell the agent your brand colours or existing design system up front, so its generic style preferences do not replace them.
